The Personal History
Supa Dee
Supa Dee is a legacy super heroine; her mother was the late Viva Mejia who fell to the Devouring Earth under mysterious circumstances. After her mothers fall a then sixteen-year-old Supa Dee, with the ability to control gravity and kinetics, took up the mantle of a super hero the course of her life changed dramatically.
Before becoming a hero Dee always knew of her powers, but she was just an average kid in her own eyes, loved her mother, went to school everyday, perfectly normal. In school she was a strange combination of popular and dweebiness, just popular enough to know and be friendly with everybody in the school and just dweeby enough to know the names of every character to ever appear in an issue of the manga Fruits Basket.
Then Dee's mother died in her junior year of high school and her life temporarily spiraled out of control. Supa Dee dropped out of school in a quest for vengeance, unfortunately the only info she had in regards to her mother’s death was the Devouring Earth were involved. Blinded by her grief Dee hunted the Devouring Earth arresting hundreds and destroying thousands more in the attempt to bring justice to her mother’s name.
After hunting all day she would often retire to the now defunct Paragon Dance Party she would lose herself in the music and just let go.
After receiving encouragement from those she respected most in the super powered community; Supa Dee returned to school to complete her education with full intent to continue her heroic career.
The Yin Yang Effect
During her return to high school in Atlas Park she met her boyfriend a fellow hero named Stephen Blood under odd circumstances, namely the very first time they met she thought he was obnoxious and told him so. Somehow building from there they struck up a friendship and eventually began dating, which they still are four years later.
Dee and Stephen are opposites in many ways, as Dee does everything she can to preserve life, whereas Stephen has ended more than he can count, but somehow her light and his darkness mesh to create a yin yang effect.
The Professional History of Supa Dee
As a hero who has the laws of speed and gravity bending to her every whim Supa Dee is a formidable hero with quite the rogues gallery, even taking a turn down the villain road herself for a brief while.
Her Mother's Influence
Viva Mejia was the definition of a hippie, Peace, Love and protect Mother Earth. Alive during the Vietnam war Viva was very anti-Vietnam, because of the destruction not just of the Earth which may never completely heal, but for the senseless loss of human life.
The regard for life has carried over to the young Supa Dee as a similar situation occurs today in Iraq, Dee struggles with protesting the war as her mother would have or fighting for the freedom of her home.
Devouring Earth
The Murderers of her Mother, while the case is still unsolved by Dee herself she crusades on to find the Devouring Earth responsible to bring him or her to justice.
Mira Faustus
Daughter of Shane Faustus, Is a Hero or Villain depending on the situation at hand. Other than the crimes she has committed Mira is considered a rival of Supa Dee's because she sees herself as the one for Stephen Blood since she saved him from the torture and experiments of her father.
General Shane Faustus
As a child Stephen Blood was sold to Faustus by his own father in an attempt to create a super soldier. Eventually through the help/betrayal of his daughter Mira, Stephen escaped. After Stephen's escape Faustus went off the grid.
Fast forward three years after Stephen's escape and Faustus has reappeared causing a rift between Dee and Stephen as he pursued his antagonizer.
General Faustus then kidnapped Dee to lure Stephen into a trap using her as an experiment. Stephen managed to free her before irreparable damage was done, but in her pain she had wanted to kill Faustus and Stephen had to kill him in order to keep her from suffering the damage to her psyche taking a life would have incurred. (Tho later it was found to have been a Life Model Decoy or Robotic clone.)
Stephen Blood's actions in killing General Faustus led to his arrest. Leaving Supa Dee to deal with Post Traumatic Stress disorder alone, temporarily turning her into....
Insidious Dee
The Post Traumatic stress disorder had distorted Dee's vision of the world, She believed Stephen had died in the fight with Faustus. In her grief over the actual and perceived happenings in Faustus' lab Supa Dee took on a more violent stance than before like a wild pitbull she would attack without abandon, much like Stephen Blood before he met Supa Dee, In a lot of ways she had adopted his previous mindset of "If the world could not save me, Why should I save it?" Only helping people when she chose too instead of just doing it because it was right.
Frustrated with the world her grief driving her to the point of insanity Insidious Dee began to destroy the City of Paragon her mastery of gravitation being used to rip the city apart at the seams.
Hero after hero tried to stop her they tried an all out assault, the mightiest of heroes were thrown aside with ease, laying at her feet Statesman, Manticore, Positron, and Sister Psyche lay on the ground next to lifelong friends; Mezmirize, Windslayer, and Grand Neosho.
It took the cunning of Crimson Moon Co-Head Nursette, to realize fighting her was not an option that it would take all of Dee's friends reminding her she is loved. Going as far as to speak with the President to get a pardon for Stephen Blood.
Her friends banded together putting issues with each other aside for the greater good to show her she was still loved, but she reacted like a wounded dog backing into a corner, and they all knew that the only shot was for Nursette to arrive with Blood in tow or she would destroy the city.
What seemed like an eternity later Nurse did arrive bringing Stephen with her too confront Dee. Stephen rushed to her and tried to convince her to stop but she was sure it was a trick. Emotions in turmoil it caused her body to over load, her body exploded with a new power that she would later refer to as Dawn Strike. She fell to the ground dead. As all of her friends began to mourn she rose from the ground like a phoenix from the ashes reborn.
Supa Dupa
When Reborn she took on the mantle of Supa Dupa, her goal in the world to rebuild the damage she had caused as Insidious Dee.
